The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Student Program Board presents the cult classic “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” musical comedy from 8 to 10 p.m. today at the UC Theater. There will also be a live shadow cast; a dedicated group of fans that act out the movie live during the showing: The Royal Mystic Order of Chaos.
Price: Free

Game Night

Join SPB from 10 p.m. to 12 a.m. Saturday at Lynn Eusan Park for their second Game Night, which features video and board games.

The Tales of Hoffman

A singing robot, a Satanic musician who drives a girl to sing herself to death and a gondola ride to a less-than-heavenly Venice where you can lose your soul are all in Jacques Offenbach’s opera “The Tales of Hoffman.” It is sung in the original French with English surtitles and will be performed from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Moores Opera House. There are free preview lectures 45 minutes before curtain.
Price: $12 with student ID

Dia de los Muertos in the East End

East End Studio Gallery invites the community to bring a picture or memento to leave at their Dia de los Muertos exhibition to honor a loved one that has passed. The opening reception is from 6 to 9 p.m. today, and the exhibition will on view until the closing reception from 3 to 6 p.m. Nov. 2.

Hocus Pocus Pops

Join the Houston Symphony with conductor Lucas Waldin as they bring a night of fright and fun with spooky sounds at 7:30 p.m. today at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. Gates and pre-concert activities, such as the train, the Great Pumpkin Express, start at 6 p.m.

Friday Flicks on the Lawn

Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ghostbustersat 8 p.m. today at GreenStreet, 1201 Fannin St., for their next showing of Friday Flicks on The Lawn. Free beverages and popcorn will be provided.

The Addams Family

HITS Theatre offers a look into a new stage of the Addams Family saga — dating. Wednesday Addams has fallen in love with a young man and the Addams Family has to try to be anything but Addams when they host her boyfriend and his family. The musical starts at 7:30 p.m. today at Miller Outdoor Theatre and will also be showings Oct. 25, 30 and 31 and Nov. 1.

Volunteer Houston

Volunteer Houston is celebrating 40 years of service to the Houston community and is hosting an organization fair to promote, recruit and conduct small hands-on projects for the community. The Houston Dynamo, Starbucks, Telemundo and KSBJ/NGen Radio will be giving away items. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Discovery Green.
