With increased efforts to promote environmental sustainability, UH has been recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the “greenest” colleges in the nation.

“Being the Energy University, in the energy capital, it’s important to include a discussion of sustainability,” said Sarah Kelly, program manager for UH’s Office of Sustainability, in a press release.

UH was recognized for investing in renewable energy and for promoting transportation alternatives, such as a free campus shuttle and a car-sharing program.

The University is one of the 353 schools in the United States that was recognized for being green.
