Fire at senior citizen apartment across Bayou Oaks leaves one injured

Dozens of residents woke up on to a fire in the Beall Village Apartments on North MacGregor Way and Calhoun Road, across from Bayou Oaks apartments at 3 a.m. on Sunday.
A resident, who chose not to be identified, said many of the residents helped each other come out of the blazing complex, many of whom are wheelchair impaired.
One was taken to the hospital for minor smoke inhalation, but is expected to fine, according to KTRK.
The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by the Houston Fire Department Arson Division.
