The Houston Cougars baseball team is preparing to host the Red-White World Series, a set of intrasquad games.
The team announced the rosters, as well as the starting pitches for each matchup Tuesday.
Fans will have their first chance to see the reigning-conference champions. All three games are open to the public.
The Cougars are coming off a season in which they captured an American Athletic Conference title and hosted an NCAA Regional playoff.
“The Red-White World Series is a tradition here at the University of Houston that we’ve done the past couple of years,” head coach Todd Whitting said in a news release. “It’s a two-out-of-three series just trying to get them into a competitive environment.”
The Red-White series adds to a busy weekend in Cougar sports, as the men’s basketball team is also hosting a team scrimmage on Saturday at 3 p.m. before the football team squares off with Vanderbilt in a primetime game on Saturday night at 6 p.m.
The three game series kicks off Thursday at 6 p.m., with the second game on Friday at 6 p.m. before wrapping up the series on Saturday at 2 p.m.
