The UH women’s basketball team hits the road for a two-game road trip this week, beginning on Wednesday when the Cougars take on the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

UH is coming off of a pair of home games, winning against the University of Central Florida last Wednesday before losing to Tulane University on Saturday.

The Cougars are looking to equal their win total from last season with a win on Wednesday and take revenge for a 79-62 home loss at the hands of Tulsa earlier this conference season.

The second game of the road trip sees UH head to Philadelphia for a match up with the Temple University Owls on Friday.

This season, the Cougars are 5-17 overall with a 1-10 record in the American Athletic Conference during the rebuilding period under head coach Ronald Hughey.

UH will be hoping to pick up a couple of key wins down the road this season to avoid a similar ending to last year, when the Cougars finished just 6-24 overall and 1-17 in AAC play.

That season also saw the Cougars lose the last 15-straight conference games, as well as a first-round exit at the AAC tournament.

The Cougars and Golden Hurricane tip off on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Tulsa, Okla.
