After splitting a weekend series last weekend, the Cougar women’s tennis team is hitting the court again this weekend for a trio of games, including a matchup with conference foe Tulane University.
Not only will the Cougars be battling for position in the American Athletic Conference this weekend, they will also host the No. 7 Texas Tech University Red Raiders and the No. 24 Kansas University Jayhawks.
After struggling to start the season, the Cougars have bounced back recently, winning four of their last five matches, and they will be looking to build on this this weekend with some important wins.
Tulane enters the weekend 3-9 overall, with UH being their first match in the AAC.
Last weekend, UH picked up a key win over the University of New Mexico, the 51st- ranked team in the country, 4-3, but dropped the second leg to Brown University, 4-2.
The Cougars improved to 4-9 following the weekend, including 4-3 at home.
UH and Tulane will meet on Friday at 1 p.m. at the John E. Hoff Courts on campus at UH, before moving to the Houston Country Club for the remaining two matches of the weekend.
