BREAKING: Student discovers note alleging kidnapping

A student has discovered a note on the water fountain of the Student Center South alleging that a person named Amanda Smith has had her life threatened and has been kidnapped, according to a security alert sent to students, faculty and staff by the University of Houston Police Department.

According to the security alert, the alleged suspect is wearing a red and white shirt, jeans and a red hat, and stands at 5’3″. The alleged suspect was also driving a green truck, according to the email.

UHPD has no information as to whether the alleged kidnapping involves a UH student, faculty or staff member and is actively investigating the case.
