Starting 3-0 for the second consecutive season, the Cougars received two much-needed days of rest following their victory against the University of Cincinnati Bearcats on Thursday night.
Shifting back to nonconference play, the Cougars will travel to San Marcos for a Saturday evening tilt with the Texas State University Bobcats.
Despite the Bobcats’ struggles last week, head coach Tom Herman spoke highly of their offense and said their defensive scheme resembled that of the University of Oklahoma Sooners.
At a weekly press luncheon, Herman and selected players shared their thoughts about their victory in Cincinnati and their upcoming match with the Bobcats.
