John & Rebecca Moores Professor of History Gerald Horne will be discussing and signing his two recently published books on African American history 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Agnes Arnold Hall, Room 628.
Honors College professor Dan Price focuses on aesthetics, theory and post-modern philosophy. He will discuss his recent publication, "Touching Difficulty: Sacred Form from Plato to Derrida" as well as "The Movement of Nothingness: Trusting in the Emptiness of Time." Studio Painting Block will open to the public and showcase artwork from the semester, presented by students from Senior 1, 2 and Junior Block. The event is free and open to the public.
Founded in 2010 by writers, Jen Hofer and John Pluecker, "Antena" experiments with language justice from international exposure. The exhibition explores how critical views on language can help re-imagination and re-articulation of the world. The gallery will be on display from Jan. 18 to May 10 at the Blaffer Art Museum.
