Seniors Patrick Edwards and Sammy Brown were named third-team members of the 2011 Associated Press All-American team today.

Edwards leads the NCAA with 18-touchdown catches, and ranks third in the nation with 1,524 receiving yards. Last week, Edwards was named the 2011 Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year.

Brown leads the nation with 28 tackles for a loss, and ranks fifth in the NCAA with 12.5 sacks.

Senior middle blocker Lucy Charuk became the first Cougar since 1994 to earn American Volleyball Coaches Association All-American honors on Wednesday.

After earning Regional Team honors as a freshman and sophomore, Charuk was named an Honorable Mention last season as a junior.
