UH President and Chancellor Renu Khator has been named one of the top five most influential Indian women in the US by siliconindia.com.
The Indian news site cites Khator’s status as the first president of the University not born in the United States and the first Indian-born woman to head a major US research university — among other achievements — as reasons for her place on the list.
The UH Board of Regents unanimously elected Khator to her current position in November 2007.
