The Katy Independent School District announced that alumna Charmaine M. Hobin, leadership coordinator for the Department of Organizational Development at Fort Bend ISD, will be the new principal of Alexander Elementary.
Hobin holds a bachelor’s in science in interdisciplinary studies and a master of education from Old Dominion University, as well as a doctorate of education in educational leadership and cultural studies from UH.
According to a KISD press release, she began her career in 1997 as the girls’ track head coach at Bayside Middle School in Virginia Beach City Public Schools before moving to her current position.
