Springfield, Vt., is now the host of America’s favorite family, The Simpsons, Reuters reported.
The small town beat out 13 other towns called Springfield in an Internet poll to earn the right to host the premiere of the new Simpson’s movie.
The town submitted a video that depicted a Homer look-a-like chasing a pink doughnut around town, Reuters reported. The town also has a nearby nuclear power plant, something the cartoon possesses as well.
Matt Groening, creator of the series, placed The Simpsons in the fictional town of Springfield after noticing that it was a very common town name in the U.S.
In its 18-year-run, the TV program has been crafty in not revealing which state this particular Springfield belongs in.
