A governor in a central Russian province asked couples to skip work Wednesday and to have intercourse instead to help boost Russia’s low-birth rate, Reuters reported.

If the woman does give birth on June 12, Russia Day, the woman is qualified for a prize where she could win a new house.

Regional governor Sergei Morozov told employers to contribute to the campaign of boosting the birth rate by giving couples Wednesday off to have sex.
