Teraisha Warren: OK, we are at the end of the semester, so how did it treat you?
Jaime Riley: It went good. It was just a little stressful at the end.
Warren: I understand that. I am ready for it to end. What is your major?
Riley: It’s biology, but I am changing it to MIS.
Warren: What exactly is MIS?
Riley: Management Information Systems. It’s a business major.
Warren: What made you decide to change from Biology to MIS?
Riley: Uh… I tried (science) and I am not very good at it.
Warren: Well, what got you interested in biology to begin with?
Riley: I wanted to be an optometrist.
Warren: OK that would involve a whole lot of science?
Riley: Yes.
Warren: So are you going to go to summer school?
Riley: I will probably take one class. I am going to try to work more.
Warren: How long do you have until you are a UH graduate?
Riley: Two more years.
Warren: Are you originally from Houston?
Riley: Dallas.
Warren: What made you pick UH?
Riley: I wanted to get away. Not too far, but not too close.
Warren: What about any extra curricular activities?
Riley: I was in the fire program as a freshman.
Warren: What exactly is the fire program?
Riley: It is a residential program. We got to move in early, did activities and toured the campus.
Warren: Are there any organizations not here on campus that you would like to see?
Riley: I would like to see more school spirit. Sometimes, it’s dead on campus.
Warren: Did you get to go to any of the sporting events?
Riley: I go when I can. They don’t really hype it up. The UC should be full of banners and decorations, but its not. When something big happens, nobody really knows.
