Danrad Knowles, a member of UH’s nationally ranked 2012 recruiting class, will sit out the 2012-13 season, said head coach James Dickey.
“We look forward to Danrad joining our program for the 2013-14 season when we enter the Big East Conference,” Dickey said.
Knowles will have four years of eligibility beginning with the 2013-2014 season, according to school records.
Knowles, a 6-foot-10 power forward, chose the University of Houston over Baylor, Arkansas and Missouri State. He played high school ball for Homeschool Christian Youth Association.
Knowles was the second highest rated recruit from a class ranked in the top-25 by ESPN recruiting services.
