A student in the second floor women’s restroom of Agnes Arnold Hall reported to police that she was the victim of an assault at about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday.
The attacker appeared behind her as she was washing her hands, she said, at which point she screamed for help, but the male suspect placed both his hands over her mouth.
The student kicked at her attacker until she freed herself, and he fled the scene.
Agnes Arnold has been searched, but the suspect has not been found.
According to police, the suspect is described as a dark-skinned Middle Eastern male in his early 20s. He is allegedly about 5 feet, 8 inches with a thin build at about 140 to 150 pounds and has a trimmed beard.
He was wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans, police said.
