UH defeated St. Thomas 81-63 in an exhibition contest at Hofheinz Pavilion on Tuesday. The Cougars got off to a slow start, but rebounded in the second half. Junior forward TaShawn Thomas led the Cougars with 20 points and 12 boards. Sophomore forward Danuel House added 10 points.
Danrad “Chicken” Knowles has not been cleared by NCAA Eligibility Center. Knowles sat out last season while attending classes at UH-Downtown.
