Senior pole vaulter Karley King has been named the Female Field Athlete of the Week by American Athletic Conference officials Tuesday for the third consecutive week.
King finished on top once again during the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational on Friday night with a mark of 4.10 meters (13’-5.25”). Her vault tied the third-best performance in school history, which she also originally set. She cleared the height on the first attempt, knocking out the rest of the competition. She moved up to attempt 4.21 meters (13’-9.75”) to beat the school record.
