UH track and field swept the American Athletic Conference track weekly honors. Junior Sade-Mariah Greenidge and freshman Brian Barraza were named the Female and Male Track Athletes of the Week.
Greenidge led the women’s team at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays last weekend after she competed in the 100- and 400-meter hurdles. She recorded a season-best 59.68 to qualify for the finals. She then faced four of the top 10 hurdlers in the country during the finals, taking fourth place (59.97). Her preliminary time sits at No. 25 on the Track & Field Results Reporting System’s online list at TFRRS.org.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Greenidge’s time was up against the top 10 hurdlers in the nation. Her time of 13.47 was good for 12th place and currently sits at No. 19 in the nation.
