UH sophomore quarterback John O’Korn was selected as a staff member for this summer’s Manning Passing Academy, run by legendary NFL and Ole Miss quarterback Archie Manning and his sons Cooper, Peyton and Eli.

The camp will be held on the Nicholls State University campus in Thibodeaux, La., and runs from July 10 to 13.

O’Korn led all true freshmen in 2013 with 28 passing touchdowns and was second in the American, regardless of class, behind Louisville’s Teddy Bridgewater’s 31.

“I am honored to be selected as a counselor for the Manning Passing Academy. The Manning family has great history in the game of football at the college and NFL levels. I look forward to being able to learn from the Mannings and my fellow counselors while hopefully imparting my knowledge on the event’s campers,” O’Korn said.
