Guard Janee Arnold, 5-foot-6, became the newest addition to the UH women’s basketball team after signing a National Letter of Intent for the 2014-15 academic year.
Arnold comes to UH after having a breakout senior season at East Central High School. She averaged a high school career-high 13 points and four rebounds during the 2013-14 campaign.
She led the Cardinals to a 22-5 overall record while helping them obtain a perfect 12-0 district mark and a berth in the state championship game.
She scored in double figures in 20 of 24 contests played last season, including pouring in a career-best 35 points in a 53-39 win over Washington High on Dec. 3, when she shot 9-of-12 from the field for 75 percent. She also scored in double figures in six straight games to end the season.
