Marcella Leung resigned as Director for the Center for Student Involvement Friday, August 8, according to an email sent to all student-fee funded organization leaders. CSI staff has already met and are working on future plans to coordinate the programs and services that CSI provides.
As director, Leung advised the Student Government Association and provided direction to the Center. CSI directly provides services for the over 400 student organizations at the University, including both student-fee funded and registered student organizations. Larger organizations in CSI include Frontier Fiesta, Homecoming, Student Programming Board, Student Video Network, CoogRadio, Metropolitan Volunteer Program and more.
Leung graduated from UH with a B. A. in English/Creative Writing in 1992 and received her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from UT. She served as director since 2006.
