UH announced preventative measures the University would take as a precaution to the spreading of the Ebola virus.
Senior campus administrators and the UH Health Center have been watching the disease closely, including daily monitoring of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updates, as well as coordinating with various campus offices, including the UH Emerging Health Issues Advisory Group, Learning Abroad and International Student and Scholar Services, in order to prevent disease from spreading if ever linked to UH, according to an email sent to students.
“We urge anyone considering travel to high-risk areas to be aware of local conditions and take appropriate precautions,” the email said.
Any updates on Ebola can be found on the CDC website, which includes a list of symptoms, along with resources about the disease. Additional information can also be found on the UH Health Center website.
The email was also sent to all faculty members and all staff members.
