The Supreme Court have decided to hear a new challenge against the Affordable Care Act.
The case, King v. Burwell No. 14-114, originated in Virginia and an appeals court upheld Internal Revenue Service regulations that allow health-insurance tax credits under the Affordable Care Act for consumers in all 50 states.
The High Court will participate in cases in which two federal appellate courts are in disagreement. In the case of King v. Burwell, a law has been ruled invalid. Four out of the nine Supreme Court justices must approve for the case to be heard in court.
