Law Center students Rose Badruddin and Brandon Schrecengost were named world champions at the International Commercial Mediation Competition on Feb. 11.
The competition, held in Paris, France, invites business and law students from around the world to put their negotiation and mediation advocacy skills in mock cases conducted by professional mediators.
The duo represented the Blakely Advocacy Institute and defeated the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in the final round. As part of their prize, they won internships at the International Chamber of Commerce International Centre for ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) and the Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution.
