Entering the American Athletic Conference ranked No. 29 in the nation and the top seed in the tournament, the Cougars will take the court Thursday against the eighth-seeded UConn Huskies for their quarterfinals play in Tulsa.
The Cougars are currently riding a school-record, 16-match winning streak, not suffering a loss since Feb. 14. They are undefeated against AAC opponents this season.
The Cougars have the advantage over the Huskies in the matchup, as they hold an all-time record of 2-0 against them, most recently with a 6-1 win on Feb. 28.
A win will advance the Cougars to face either the fourth-seed SMU Mustangs or the fifth-seed Memphis Tigers on Friday.
