In this week’s edition of 10 Questions, The Cougar had the chance to talk with men’s basketball sophomore guard Rob Gray Jr. The standout transfer leads the team with 17.2 points per game and is third in total points scored.

The Cougar: Do people ever accuse you of being addicted to your phone?

Rob Gray, Jr.:  No, not at all. I use my phone often, but I wouldn’t say I’m addicted.

TC: What is the one place you’ve never visited that you’d like to go and why?

RG: I’ve never been to Hawaii, and I’d like to visit, just for the experience and to see the scenery.

TC: What is the thing you miss most about Houston while on the road?

RG: The comfortable home atmosphere and having everything at my fingertips that I need, necessities and anything I want to do, I can just do it. Just being comfortable and having access to everything.

TC: Would you rather have the ability to fly or become invisible?

RG: I’d rather fly, so I can get places faster.

TC: Who is the greatest athlete in basketball right now?

RG: Steph Curry, no doubt.

TC: If you could have a one-on-one coaching session from any athlete or coach, who would it be and why?

RG: I’d have to say Michael Jordan, of course. He’s the best ever.

TC: What made you get into basketball, and when did you start to realize you could pursue it in college?

RG: My father always played basketball, and I’ve always watched it and had a ball since I was a little kid. When I started playing, it was something that I liked and excelled at since a young age, so I stuck with it. At 10 or 11 I realized I was consistently better than everyone I was playing with.

TC: If you could only watch two TV shows for the rest of your life what would they be and why?

RG: ESPN. All I watch is sports.

TC: What’s the thing you’ll miss most about UH when you leave?

RG: I don’t really have a favorite.

TC: Who is the best dresser on the team?

RG: Have go with my roommate, Eric Weary Jr.
