Weekend events showcase Quidditch, Cambodian circus

House Cup Quidditch Tournament

5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Memorial Park Rugby Field

There won’t be flying brooms, but absolute fun is a certain! Support your team — Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw — in this debut event inspired by the sport in the “Harry Potter” universe. Free for spectators.

Houston Black Heritage Festival

4 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Discovery Green

This annual event promises to shake Midtown with arts and musical performances. Grammy Award-winning singer Monica will make an appearance! Tickets are $25.

Phare Cambodian Circus: Khmer Village

8 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Miller Outdoor Theatre

This weekend, witness some jaw-dropping, story-infused and culture-rich acts from the graduates of the Phare Ponleu Selpak Circus School in Battambang, Cambodia.

Rooftop Yoga Under the Stars

6 to 9 p.m., Sunday, Noel Furniture

The theme for this special weekend event is “it’s all about U” and will benefit Peach Outreach and the MD Anderson Uterine Cancer Research Program. Tickets are $30.
