Christian rap, comedy coming to Houston this weekend


NF – Therapy Sessions presented by Ones to Watch

The Michigan-native, Christian hip-hop rapper hits Houston this weekend and perform songs from his latest studio album. This concert is for all ages.

No Class Comedy at Calhoun’s Rooftop Bar and Grill

8 to 10 p.m., Friday, Calhoun’s Rooftop

Say hello to the hottest names in Houston’s stand-up comedy scene this weekend over all sorts of drink specials. Must be 18 or above to attend.

1000 Lights for Peace

5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, Miller Outdoor Theatre

Hosted by the Mahatma Gandhi Library, the event will begin with a 5K walk from the Gandhi Statue to the theater, followed by a range of diverse speakers (including former Mayor Annise Parker) and a candle-lighting ceremony.

11th Annual Heights Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt

8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday, Marmion Park

Pedal around the neighborhood in one of two (or maybe even both) routes, the 20-mile or the 5-mile. Return to the park at 4 p.m. for entertainment, prizes and other pleasantries to complete the event. Check fees and sign up here.
