News real: Special toppings

A janitor in Hackensack, N.J., is alleging in a lawsuit that his co-workers tried to poison him at an office party in 2005 by lacing his pizza with the hallucinogen LSD, the Associated Press reported.

Dominick A. Rao, a janitor with the Fair Lawn School District since 2000, was served pizza from a different box, his attorney told reporters.

"He said he felt like his body and system were melting from the inside out, like he was living in a kaleidoscope," his attorney, Richard Mazawey, said.

Rao was rushed to the emergency room at a local hospital where doctors found " a controlled dangerous substance running through his body," Mazawey said.

The lawsuit claims that after Rao returned to work after the incident, a co-worker asked him, "How are you still alive?"
