Softball – Senior pitcher grabs second consecutive C-USA accolade

For the second straight week, Amanda Crabtree earned Conference USA Pitcher of the Week honors Monday after tallying another four wins for the No. 23 Cougars between February 21-28.
Crabtree’s performance was highlighted by no-hitting Louisiana-Monroe — her second of the season — and a shutout against Baylor. She threw 27 innings in her four starts, striking out 40 batters, while allowing only one earned run (0.33 ERA) and walking only five batters.
She is currently the C-USA leader in ERA for pitchers who have thrown more than 20 innings, and is second in strikeouts with 86 in 52 innings pitched.
