Every Wednesday, the Women’s Resource Center screens films that focus on issues about gender, race, class and sexual identity.
This Wednesday, in conjunction with the office of Equal Employment Services, the Women’s Resource Center will be showing “Hip Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes,” a documentary written, directed and produced by Byron Hurt.
It focuses on the “issues of masculinity, violence, homophobia and sexism in hip hop music and culture.”
The event will be held from 1-3 p.m. in the Women’s Resource Center, room 279A at the University Center, and is open to the public. Admission is free.
