UH student robbed in school parking lot

At approximately 3:30 p.m. today, a UH student reported to the UH Department of Public Safety that he had been held up at gunpoint in parking lot 9C.

The male student was at his car when he was approached from behind by an African-American male in dreadlocks, who had driven up in a dark brown or gray 4-door sedan, wielding a black handgun that “appeared to be plastic,” said UHDPS in a news release.

After taking the student’s property, the man left with an unknown driver, UHDPS said. The student was not injured.

The UHDPS public information officer was unavailable for comment at the time of this writing.
