Event: Celebrate Mid-Autumn Day from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Houston Room in the University Center.
Event: Socialize, play games and have fun at a pool party from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center. Music will be played by Dj iRoss, and food and snacks will be provided.
SATURDAY:
Art: California-based artist collective Fallen Fruit will open a lemonade stand along the sidewalk from noon to 3 p.m. in front of the Blaffer Art Museum. Participants will be asked to draw self-portraits and share personal stories in exchange for a cup of lemonade.
Off-campus: The Blaffer Art Museum is collaborating with Houston Arts Alliance to present Jo Ann Fleischhauer’s art installation, “What Time Is It?” The exhibition will be opening to the public from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Market Square Clock Tower in downtown. Find out more information here.
SUNDAY:
Music: The Quiterius Jackson Junior Tenor will perform from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Dudley Recital Hall.
Off-campus: Visit the Houston Zoo to celebrate Shasta VI’s second birthday. The party starts at 10:30 a.m., and family and friends are all welcome. From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Houston Zoo staff members will demonstrate cougar training.
