Today

Workshop: The Career Awareness Workshop held before each Career Fair will discuss how to dress appropriately, create a professional resume and develop interviewing skills. The workshop will be from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Plaza Room of the Hilton UH.

Exhibit: The Blaffer Art Museum is coming together with industrial design, graphic design and fine arts students for the Blaffer Art & Design, a line of products and artwork designed by students and selected by a jury of experts to showcase UH’s upcoming art talent. While BAD does not unveil until Fall 2014, a preview will be held at the Texas Contemporary Art Fair from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the George R. Brown Convention Center from today until Sunday.

Event: The ninth annual Undergraduate Research Day will showcase undergraduate research results and presentations at the Rockwell Pavilion and The Honors College on the second floor of the M.D. Anderson Memorial Library from 4 to 6 p.m. Students from all majors and colleges will give poster and oral presentations, while Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship 2013 students will present the findings from their summer research projects.

Art: The Blaffer Art Museum presents “Feast: Radical Hospitality in Contemporary Art” from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Event: Red Block Bash, hosted by the Blaffer Student Association, will be held for free from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Blaffer Art Museum.

Play: “The Beaux’ Stratagem,” written by George Farquhar and directed by Adam Noble, will run from 8 to 10 p.m. today through Saturday at the Wortham Theatre. On Sunday, it will be performed at 2 p.m. Admission is $20 for the general public, $15 for faculty, staff and alumni, $12 for seniors and $10 for students.

Performance: The Wind Ensemble will present works by Hindemith, Rosner, Rachmaninov and King from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Moores Opera House. General admission is $12, while admission for students and seniors is $7.

Friday

Conference: UH staff and graduate students will present on career options and the professional programs that Student Affairs has to offer. Panels and network opportunities will also be held. The event is free and will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the College of Education at Farish Hall, KIVA Room 101.

Saturday
Football: The Cougars will face off against Memphis from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at BBVA Compass Stadium.
