“As soon as you sit down, she’ll crawl in your lap.” said Sujata Gautam.
Earth Week came to a close yesterday with a volunteer trip to the Houston Humane Society located at 14700 Almeda Rd, Houston, TX 77053.
“Volunteers are the heart of this,” said Jennifer Troxell, the humane society’s volunteer coordinator for the students.
Students received a leash and were given the option to walk dogs around the garden areas, take them into spacious pens to play or to hang out with cats.
“They’re just going to be happy to spend time with you,” Troxell said.
