UH now ranks No. 52 in this year’s Global University Visibility rankings, up 15 spots from last year. In the “Public Interest” metric, which measures domestic and international search interest in a university, UH ranks No. 6 in the world, behind only Boston University, Brown, UCLA, USC and Oxford.
The GUV rankings include 193 countries and are intended to study which universities command the most global attention. Data points include social media, website visitors and video views.
The University attributes its rise in the rankings to the strength of faculty research, academic success and post-graduation accomplishments by students and to the achievements of UH Athletics.
