Homegrown food satisfies hunger

The Interdisciplinary Society of Social Engineers Farmers Market returns to the University Center Satellite today with booths of fresh, homemade food.

The ISSE Farmers Market provides opportunities for students to sell healthy food and show their creativity.

The students sell their foodstuffs and vegetables in order to bring more local food on campus and promote a sense of community. All students are welcome to purchase the nutritious food.

This is an opportunity for students to obtain jobs and show their talents and knowledge of healthy food. Mehr Naz, a participant in the ISSE Farmers Market, said the event gives students a chance to taste a variety of healthy foods from many local cultures.

The event will have host foods from Caf’eacute; Du Crepe, JS Desserts, Veronica’s and many other providers.

The ISSE advises students to bring cloth bags for carrying groceries.

In addition to local foods, the Farmers Market will bring entertainment such as pyrotechnics, music, yoga, face painting, performances and more. Students are invited to participate.
